Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the yuzu juice, sugar, and water.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir the mixture continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Once the sugar is dissolved, bring the mixture to a boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat once boiling, and stir in the finely grated yuzu zest.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, transfer it to a jug and refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve the yuzu tea over ice in a tall glass, garnished with additional yuzu zest if desired. Enjoy this refreshing drink on a hot summer day!
Tips
- For a winter version, you can serve this tea hot. Simply reheat the tea in the saucepan before serving, omitting the ice.
- If yuzu fruit is unavailable, you can substitute it with a mixture of lemon and grapefruit to mimic the unique flavor of yuzu.
