Fresh mint leaves
a handful for garnish
Ice cubes
as needed
Water
4 cups
Granulated sugar
1 cup
Fresh lemons
6, juiced

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Bring this mixture to a boil while stirring continuously until the sugar fully dissolves to create a simple syrup.
  2. Squeeze the juice from 6 fresh lemons. In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice with the simple syrup, stirring well to mix.
  3. Add the remaining 3 cups of water to the pitcher and stir again to combine.
  4. Serve the Zitronenlimonade over ice cubes in individual glasses. Garnish each with a few fresh mint leaves for an extra burst of refreshing flavor.
