Ingredients
- Baguette
- 1, cut into 1/2 inch slices
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh basil
- 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Garlic
- 2 cloves, minced
- Zucchini
- 2 medium, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced zucchini to the skillet and sauté until they become tender, this should take about 5 minutes.
- Next, add the minced garlic to the skillet and continue cooking for an additional 1 minute.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the finely chopped basil, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and place in the preheated oven. Toast the slices for about 5 minutes, or until they turn lightly golden.
- Once toasted, remove the baguette slices from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Top each toasted baguette slice with a generous spoonful of the sautéed zucchini and garlic mixture.
