Abalone
4 large, cleaned and tenderized
Olive oil
4 tablespoons
Lemon
1, juiced and zested
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Fresh parsley
2 tablespoons, chopped
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it's hot enough to create a nice sear.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, and chopped parsley to create the dressing.
  3. Carefully brush the cleaned abalone with the garlic lemon dressing, reserving some for serving. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Place the abalone on the grill, shell side down, and cook for approximately 5 minutes. You should see a slight caramelization.
  5. Gently flip the abalone and continue grilling for another 5 minutes, or until the flesh is firm and opaque.
  6. Once cooked, remove the abalone from the grill and drizzle the reserved dressing over the top.
  7. Serve immediately with an extra wedge of lemon for squeezing and a sprinkle of chopped parsley for garnish.
