All-purpose flour
2 cups
Granulated sugar
1 cup
Baking powder
1 teaspoon
Baking soda
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon
Eggs
2, beaten
Vegetable oil
1/2 cup
Milk
1 cup
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon

1 cup
Chopped walnuts
1/2 cup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk together until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the vegetable oil, milk, vanilla extract, and the Amish Friendship Bread starter. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts for added texture and flavor.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Once baked, let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
