- Fresh cilantro (a handful, chopped for garnish)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)

- Red chili powder (1 teaspoon)
- Cumin powder (1 teaspoon)
- Coriander powder (2 teaspoons)
- Turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Garam masala (1 tablespoon)
- Cashew nuts (1/2 cup, soaked in water and ground into a paste)
- Tomato (1 large, finely chopped)
- Yogurt (1 cup, beaten)
- Ginger (1 inch piece, grated)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1 large, finely chopped)
- Beef (500g, cut into cubes)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns a golden brown color.
- Add in the minced garlic and grated ginger, continue to sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Drain the soaked cashew nuts and blend them with a little water in a blender until a smooth paste forms.
- Add the beef cubes to the pan, and brown them on all sides.
- Stir in the finely chopped tomato, cashew paste, and beaten yogurt.
- Sprinkle in all the spices - garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure the beef is well-coated with the spices and the ingredients are well combined.
- Cover the pan and let the beef simmer in the spiced yogurt sauce for about 45 minutes, or until it is tender and the flavors have melded together.
