Robust Black Pepper and Sea Salt Marinade
Unleash the power of simplicity with our robust Black Pepper and Sea Salt Marinade. This recipe, dating back to the early culinary traditions of the Mediterranean, perfectly balances the boldness of freshly ground black pepper with the crisp clarity of sea salt. Infused with the tangy undertones of lemon juice and the savory depth of Worcestershire sauce, this marinade is a secret weapon for enhancing the natural flavors of your chosen cuts of meat or vibrant vegetables. Ideal for grilling, roasting, or sautéing, it's a versatile addition to any home chef's repertoire.
Ingredients
- Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice
- 1/4 cup, freshly squeezed
- Olive oil
- 1/2 cup, extra virgin
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Sea salt
- 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper
- 1 tablespoon, freshly ground
Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine 1 tablespoon each of freshly ground black pepper and sea salt.
- Add 3 cloves of minced garlic to the pepper and salt mixture, blending well to ensure an even distribution.
- Pour in the 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil, followed by the 1/4 cup each of freshly squeezed lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well integrated.
- Your robust Black Pepper and Sea Salt Marinade is now ready to use. For best results, marinate your meat or vegetables for at least 30 minutes before grilling, roasting, or sautéing.
- If not using immediately, transfer the marinade to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to a week. Shake well before using.
Tips
- This marinade works wonderfully with beef, chicken, pork, and a variety of vegetables. Experiment with different foods to discover your own favorite combinations.
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes.
- If using on fish, reduce the marinating time to avoid overpowering the delicate flavor of the seafood.
