Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened unsalted butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- To the butter mixture, add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until a dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
