Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes. For best results, marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for another 1-2 minutes until the mixture becomes fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet, spreading the pieces out evenly. Cook until the chicken is browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and heavy cream. Stir well to combine with the chicken and spices.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes. The chicken should be cooked through and the sauce should thicken up nicely.
- Serve the Chicken Tikka Masala over a bed of cauliflower rice. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.
- Enjoy the rich and vibrant flavors of your Keto Chicken Tikka Masala!
Tips
- For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut milk for the heavy cream and use oil instead of butter.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of spices to suit your taste.
- Marinating the chicken overnight will result in more flavorful and tender chicken.
