Nutella Power Protein Shake

Treat yourself to an irresistibly delightful and nutrient-rich Nutella protein shake. This decadent, creamy smoothie will not only satiate your Nutella cravings but also provide a substantial protein boost, perfect for a pre-workout energizer or a post-workout recovery drink. Originating from the Italian tradition of blending hazelnuts with cocoa and milk, this recipe brings together the classic Nutella flavor with the health benefits of a protein shake.

Serves 1

Ingredients

Ice cubes
1 cup
Banana
1, frozen and sliced
Protein powder
1 scoop, chocolate or vanilla flavor
Nutella
2 tablespoons
Milk
1 cup, can be replaced with almond or soy milk for a dairy-free option

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing a sturdy blender. Make sure it's clean and ready to use.
  2. Add the milk of your choice to the blender. Then, add the Nutella, ensuring it blends well into the liquid.
  3. Add the protein powder to the blender. Opt for a chocolate or vanilla flavor to complement the Nutella.
  4. Next, add your frozen, sliced banana. The banana not only adds sweetness but also gives the shake a creamy texture.
  5. Finally, add the ice cubes. The more ice, the thicker your shake will be.
  6. Blend on high speed until all the components are thoroughly mixed and the shake has a smooth, creamy consistency. This process should take about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Pour the shake into a tall glass, garnish with a small dollop of Nutella or a sprinkle of protein powder, if desired, and enjoy immediately.

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra protein boost, add a tablespoon of chia seeds or flaxseeds.
  • 💡 If you prefer a less sweet shake, consider using half a banana or adding a handful of spinach for a nutrient boost.
