- to taste
- Egg
- 1, beaten
- Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup
- Vegetable oil

Instructions
- Boil the potatoes in a large pot until they are tender and easily pierced with a fork. Drain and let them cool.
- Once cooled, peel the potatoes and mash them until smooth. Set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic until the beef is thoroughly browned and the onion is translucent.
- Season the beef mixture with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
- Take a portion of the mashed potatoes and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center and shape the potato around the filling, forming a ball.
- Repeat the process with the remaining mashed potatoes and beef filling.
- Dip each potato ball into the beaten egg, then roll it in the breadcrumbs to coat.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the potato balls in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Remove the Papas Rellenas from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot as an appetizer or snack. Enjoy!
