
Veal Milanese
Veal Milanese is a traditional Italian dish made with breaded veal cutlets that are fried until golden and served with a fresh lemon wedge.
Ingredients
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Olive oil (for frying)
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Breadcrumbs (1 cup)
- Eggs (2, beaten)
- Flour (1 cup)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Veal cutlets (4, about 1/2 inch thick)
Instructions
- Season the veal cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Dredge the cutlets in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured cutlets into the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the cutlets until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Drain the cutlets on paper towels and serve with lemon wedges.
