Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, thoroughly mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, dried thyme, and dried rosemary to create a robust seasoning blend.
- Use paper towels to pat the turkey dry, ensuring the skin is completely dry for optimal crisping.
- Generously rub the olive oil all over the turkey, followed by evenly sprinkling the prepared seasoning blend over the entire surface of the turkey, both inside and out.
- Place the turkey in the air fryer basket, breast side down. If you have a smaller air fryer, you might need to cut the turkey into parts.
- Cook the turkey for 60 minutes.
- After 60 minutes, carefully flip the turkey breast side up using tongs or oven mitts. Ensure to protect your hands from any hot oil or steam.
- Continue cooking for another 60 minutes, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh reads 165°F (74°C).
- Once cooked, remove the turkey from the air fryer and let it rest for 15 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Carve, serve and enjoy the succulent flavors of your perfectly cooked Air Fryer Turkey.
Tips
- To add more flavor, you can stuff the turkey with aromatics like onion, garlic, and herbs before cooking.
- Make sure the turkey is completely thawed and dry before seasoning and cooking to ensure the best result.
