Dried thyme
1 tablespoon
Paprika
1 tablespoon
Garlic powder
1 tablespoon
Black pepper
1 teaspoon
Salt
2 teaspoons
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Whole turkey
1 (10-12 pound)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a small bowl, thoroughly mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, dried thyme, and dried rosemary to create a robust seasoning blend.
  3. Use paper towels to pat the turkey dry, ensuring the skin is completely dry for optimal crisping.
  4. Generously rub the olive oil all over the turkey, followed by evenly sprinkling the prepared seasoning blend over the entire surface of the turkey, both inside and out.
  5. Place the turkey in the air fryer basket, breast side down. If you have a smaller air fryer, you might need to cut the turkey into parts.
  6. Cook the turkey for 60 minutes.
  7. After 60 minutes, carefully flip the turkey breast side up using tongs or oven mitts. Ensure to protect your hands from any hot oil or steam.
  8. Continue cooking for another 60 minutes, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh reads 165°F (74°C).
  9. Once cooked, remove the turkey from the air fryer and let it rest for 15 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.
  10. Carve, serve and enjoy the succulent flavors of your perfectly cooked Air Fryer Turkey.

Tips

  • 💡 To add more flavor, you can stuff the turkey with aromatics like onion, garlic, and herbs before cooking.
  • 💡 Make sure the turkey is completely thawed and dry before seasoning and cooking to ensure the best result.
