Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Ground pork (1 pound)
  • Wonton wrappers (1 package (about 50 wrappers))
  • Green onions (3, finely chopped)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, minced)
  • Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Water (for sealing)
  • Dipping sauce (for serving (suggested: sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or homemade spicy garlic sauce))

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wrapper, being careful not to overfill.
  3. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper to ensure a good seal.
  4. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
  5. Moisten the two bottom corners of the triangle with water, bring them together, and press to seal, creating the distinctive wonton shape. Ensure there are no air pockets to prevent bursting during cooking.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Arrange the wontons in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each wonton for even cooking.
  8. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or a homemade spicy garlic sauce.
