
Banana Cake
This moist and flavorful banana cake is made with ripe bananas and topped with a creamy cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Powdered sugar (2 cups)
- Cream cheese (8 ounces, softened)
- Buttermilk (1/2 cup)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Add the mashed bananas to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until creamy and well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled cake.
- Slice and serve the delicious banana cake!
