
Bok Choy and Hoisin Sauce Stir Fry
This delicious stir fry features fresh bok choy cooked in a flavorful hoisin sauce.
Ingredients
- Toasted sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
- Green onions (2, sliced)
- Cooked rice (4 cups)
- Salt (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon)
- Rice vinegar (1 tablespoon)
- Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Hoisin sauce (3 tablespoons)
- Sesame oil (2 tablespoons)
- Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Bok choy (4 heads, chopped)
Instructions
- Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chopped bok choy to the skillet and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until wilted.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, and salt.
- Pour the sauce over the bok choy and stir fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the vegetables.
- Remove from heat and serve the bok choy stir fry over cooked rice.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
