Bok Choy and Hoisin Sauce Stir Fry

This delicious stir fry features fresh bok choy cooked in a flavorful hoisin sauce.

Ingredients

  • Toasted sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
  • Green onions (2, sliced)
  • Cooked rice (4 cups)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Rice vinegar (1 tablespoon)
  • Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • Hoisin sauce (3 tablespoons)
  • Sesame oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Bok choy (4 heads, chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped bok choy to the skillet and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until wilted.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, and salt.
  5. Pour the sauce over the bok choy and stir fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the vegetables.
  6. Remove from heat and serve the bok choy stir fry over cooked rice.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
