Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, keeping the edges slightly thicker for a nice crust.
- Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or the preheated pizza stone.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until they release their moisture and become golden brown. Remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined. This will be your creamy white sauce.
- Spread the creamy mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms and crumbled bacon over the sauce, then top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
- Slice into wedges and serve hot, enjoying the rich, comforting flavors.
Tips
- For an extra kick, consider adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before baking.
- You can substitute the button mushrooms with shiitake or portobello for a deeper flavor.
- Feel free to make your pizza dough from scratch for a more authentic experience.
