Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Pizza dough
1 (store-bought or homemade)
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Button mushrooms
8 ounces, sliced
Bacon
4 ounces, cooked and crumbled
Mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 cups, shredded
Heavy cream
1/2 cup
Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup, grated
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Fresh parsley
2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, keeping the edges slightly thicker for a nice crust.
  3. Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or the preheated pizza stone.
  4. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until they release their moisture and become golden brown. Remove from heat.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined. This will be your creamy white sauce.
  6. Spread the creamy mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms and crumbled bacon over the sauce, then top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
  10. Slice into wedges and serve hot, enjoying the rich, comforting flavors.

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra kick, consider adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before baking.
  • 💡 You can substitute the button mushrooms with shiitake or portobello for a deeper flavor.
  • 💡 Feel free to make your pizza dough from scratch for a more authentic experience.
