Bread Pudding

This delicious bread pudding is made with stale bread, eggs, milk, sugar, and warm spices.

Ingredients

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Butter (2 tablespoons, melted)
  • Raisins (1/2 cup)
  • Nutmeg (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
  • Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Sugar (1 cup)
  • Eggs (4)
  • Milk (2 cups)
  • Stale bread (6 cups, cubed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Add the stale bread cubes and raisins to the bowl. Mix well, ensuring all the bread is soaked in the liquid mixture.
  5. Pour the bread mixture into the greased baking dish. Press down gently to ensure even distribution.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the bread pudding.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
