Ingredients

  • Frozen french fries (1 bag)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Chili powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Cumin (1 teaspoon)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Orange juice (1/2 cup)
  • Lime juice (1/4 cup)
  • Flank steak (1 lb)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine lime juice, orange juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add the flank steak and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into thin strips.
  3. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the frozen french fries package. Bake the fries until crispy and golden brown.
  4. In a large oven-safe dish, spread the cooked french fries in an even layer. Top with the sliced carne asada and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and chopped cilantro.
