
Carne Asada Street Tacos
These delicious carne asada street tacos are made with marinated grilled steak, fresh toppings, and served on warm corn tortillas.
Ingredients
- Lime wedges (for serving)
- Salsa (1/2 cup)
- Onion (1/2 cup, diced)
- Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Corn tortillas (12)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Chili powder (1 teaspoon)
- Cumin (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Orange juice (1/4 cup)
- Lime juice (1/4 cup)
- Flank steak (1 pound)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the lime juice, orange juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Slice the steak into thin strips against the grain.
- Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or stovetop.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a few slices of steak on each tortilla. Top with diced onion, chopped cilantro, and salsa.
