
Donuts
These classic glazed donuts are soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. They are a delightful treat for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- Vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon)
- Milk (2 tablespoons)
- Powdered sugar (1 cup)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute.
- Roll out the dough to a 1/2-inch thickness and cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully drop the donuts into the hot oil, frying 2-3 at a time. Cook for about 2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Remove the donuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Dip each donut into the glaze, coating both sides, and place them on a wire rack to allow the glaze to set.
- Serve the donuts fresh and enjoy!
