Servings: 4

Ingredients

Chicken wings
2 lbs
Salt and pepper
to taste
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1/2 cup
Honey
1/4 cup
Garlic cloves, minced
3
Fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Rice vinegar
2 tablespoons
Green onions, sliced
4
Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon, plus extra for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. To prepare the marinade, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, and half of the sliced green onions in a bowl.
  3. Place the chicken wings in a large ziplock bag. Pour the marinade into the bag, seal it, and massage the marinade into the wings. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for the flavors to fully absorb.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken wings from the marinade, shaking off excess, and place them in the hot skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Sear the chicken wings for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken wings are fully cooked and crispy.
  7. Allow the wings to rest for a few minutes after removing them from the oven.
  8. Garnish the wings with remaining sliced green onions and extra sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
