Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Chicken wings
- 2 lbs
- Salt and pepper
- to taste
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce
- 1/2 cup
- Honey
- 1/4 cup
- Garlic cloves, minced
- 3
- Fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons
- Green onions, sliced
- 4
- Sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon, plus extra for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- To prepare the marinade, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, and half of the sliced green onions in a bowl.
- Place the chicken wings in a large ziplock bag. Pour the marinade into the bag, seal it, and massage the marinade into the wings. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for the flavors to fully absorb.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken wings from the marinade, shaking off excess, and place them in the hot skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Sear the chicken wings for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken wings are fully cooked and crispy.
- Allow the wings to rest for a few minutes after removing them from the oven.
- Garnish the wings with remaining sliced green onions and extra sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
