Ingredients
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- Onion powder (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Worcestershire sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Apple cider vinegar (1/4 cup)
- Brown sugar (1 cup)
- Ketchup (1 cup)
- Moxie soda (1 can (12 ounces))
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the Moxie soda, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer. Stir occasionally for about 20-30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
- After the sauce has thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat. Allow the sauce to cool before using it on your BBQ dishes.
- The sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
