Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Fresh parsley (1/4 cup, finely chopped)
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Salt (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon)
- Dried oregano (1 tablespoon)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Spaghetti (8 ounces)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water, and set aside.
- While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Toss well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated with the garlic and oregano mixture. If needed, add some of the reserved pasta water to help the sauce cling to the pasta.
- Season with salt to taste. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle the spaghetti with the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley. Toss again until the cheese is melted and well distributed.
- Serve the Oregano and Garlic Spaghetti hot. Enjoy this taste of Italy right in your kitchen!
