Instructions
- Begin by patting the sea bass fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully place the sea bass fillets in the skillet, skin side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them, until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Gently flip the fillets and add the butter, minced garlic, and lemon slices to the skillet.
- Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes, basting the fillets with the melted butter mixture. This will infuse the fish with delicious flavors.
- Once cooked through (the fish should flake easily with a fork), remove the sea bass from the skillet and transfer to a serving plate.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional lemon slices, if desired. Serve immediately while hot.
Tips
- For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the skillet after flipping the fish.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
