Prawn Sushi Rolls

Delicious sushi rolls filled with succulent prawns, avocado, and cucumber.

Ingredients

  • Pickled ginger (for serving)
  • Wasabi (for serving)
  • Soy sauce (for serving)
  • Cucumber (1, julienned)
  • Avocado (1, sliced)
  • Cooked prawns (12 large, peeled and deveined)
  • Nori seaweed sheets (4 sheets)
  • Sushi rice (2 cups)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. Place a sheet of nori seaweed on a bamboo sushi mat.
  3. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving a small border at the top.
  4. Arrange the prawns, avocado, and cucumber in a line across the center of the rice.
  5. Using the sushi mat, tightly roll the nori and rice around the filling, applying gentle pressure.
  6. Moisten the top border of the nori with water to seal the roll.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients to make additional rolls.
  8. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Serve the prawn sushi rolls with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
