Red Wine and Garlic Marinade
Introducing the Red Wine and Garlic Marinade - a centuries-old secret passed down through generations. This marinade, brimming with the richness of red wine and the robust flavor of garlic, is an absolute game-changer. It's versatile and can work its magic on beef, lamb, or chicken, infusing them with a depth of flavor that is both exquisite and tantalizing. The sweetness of honey, the savory punch of soy sauce, and the aromatic hint of rosemary come together to create a symphony of flavors that will elevate your grilling game.
Ingredients
- Fresh Rosemary
- 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
- Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground
- Honey
- 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Dry Red Wine
- 1 cup
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the dry red wine, minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, soy sauce, honey, freshly ground black pepper, and finely chopped rosemary. This forms the base of your marinade.
- Whisk these ingredients until they create a homogeneous mixture. The honey should be fully dissolved to ensure an even distribution of sweetness.
- Choose your meat - be it beef, lamb, or chicken. Place it in a large resealable bag.
- Pour your freshly prepared marinade over the meat. Ensure every inch of the meat is covered in the marinade for an even flavor profile.
- Seal the bag, taking care to remove as much air as possible. This helps the marinade to fully permeate the meat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. For a deeper, more intense flavor, marinate overnight.
- When you're ready to cook, remove the meat from the marinade, shaking off the excess. Discard the remaining marinade. Cook the meat as per your recipe or preference.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the marinade. Always remember, the longer you marinate, the deeper the flavors will be.
