6 slices, cooked and crumbled
Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups, shredded
Garlic
2 cloves, minced

1 medium, diced
Unsalted butter
1 tablespoon (for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with unsalted butter.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed day-old bread and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic in a bit of oil until soft and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
