1 pound (450g)
Canned crushed tomatoes
28 ounces (800g)
Tomato paste
2 tablespoons
Dried oregano
1 teaspoon
Dried basil
1 teaspoon
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Fresh basil
for garnish
Parmesan cheese
for serving

12 ounces (340g)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with a splash of olive oil to keep it from sticking together.
  7. To serve, place a generous portion of spaghetti on each plate, topping it with the rich Bolognese sauce.
  8. Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves for an aromatic finish.
