Servings: 4

Ingredients

Ground beef
1 pound
Sun-dried tomatoes
1/2 cup, chopped
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Cheddar cheese
4 slices
Mayonnaise
1/4 cup
Lettuce
4 leaves, washed and dried
Hamburger buns
4, toasted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For a medium burger, aim for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the grill or skillet to help the cheese melt beautifully.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the buns by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  6. Assemble each burger by placing a lettuce leaf on the mayo-covered bun, followed by the cheesy burger patty, and finally, the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve the burgers hot with your favorite sides, such as sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
