Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Greek yogurt, tandoori masala, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, ensuring they are even for uniform cooking.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and lightly brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the turkey burgers for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute, or until lightly browned.
- Assemble the burgers by placing one turkey patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top each patty with a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a few rings of red onion. Place the top half of the bun over the toppings.
- Serve the Tandoori Turkey Burgers hot, along with a generous dollop of Greek yogurt and your favorite sides.
Tips
- For extra spice, add chopped green chilies to the turkey mixture.
- You can substitute ground chicken or beef if you prefer.
- Serve with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh cucumber salad for a complete meal.
