Salmon Burgers

These delicious salmon burgers are made with fresh salmon fillets and seasoned with herbs and spices.

Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise (4 tablespoons)
  • Red onion (1/2, thinly sliced)
  • Tomato (1, sliced)
  • Lettuce (4 leaves)
  • Burger buns (4)
  • Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Lemon zest (1 teaspoon)
  • Dill (2 tablespoons, chopped)
  • Green onions (2, finely chopped)
  • Breadcrumbs (1/2 cup)
  • Salmon fillets (1 lb, skinless and boneless)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the salmon fillets until coarsely chopped.
  2. Transfer the chopped salmon to a mixing bowl and add the breadcrumbs, green onions, dill, lemon zest, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Toast the burger buns if desired.
  6. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a salmon patty, lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve the salmon burgers immediately and enjoy!
