Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside, ensuring they are not overcooked as they will continue to cook in the stir-fry.
- In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat until shimmering, creating a perfect environment for stir-frying.
- Add the sliced beef to the pan and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside, letting the juices mingle in the pan.
- In the same pan, add the sliced onion, julienned carrot, bell pepper, shredded cabbage, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp, maintaining their vibrant colors and nutrients.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan and add the drained egg noodles, ensuring even distribution of ingredients.
- Drizzle the soy sauce and oyster sauce over the mixture, enhancing the umami flavor. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the noodles and vegetables to absorb the sauces and become well-coated.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh crunch.
- Serve hot and enjoy this hearty dish, perfect alongside a refreshing salad or steamed dumplings.
Tips
- For a vegetarian version, substitute beef with tofu or tempeh and use vegetable-based sauces.
- Feel free to experiment with seasonal vegetables like zucchini or snap peas to add variety.
- You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat if desired.
