Servings: 10

Ingredients

Chocolate chips
1/2 cup
Chopped walnuts
1/2 cup
Cinnamon
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda
1 teaspoon
Baking powder
2 teaspoons
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Egg
1, large
Unsalted butter
1/2 cup, melted
Granulated sugar
1 cup
All-purpose flour
2 cups
Ripe bananas
3, medium-sized

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing as it can make the bread tough.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed in the batter.
  7. Grease a loaf pan that fits inside the air fryer basket using a little butter or cooking spray.
  8. Pour the banana bread batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  9. Place the loaf pan in the air fryer basket and cook for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove the banana bread from the air fryer and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  11. After 10 minutes, transfer the banana bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy it warm with a pat of butter or a drizzle of honey.
