Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Add the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing as it can make the bread tough.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed in the batter.
- Grease a loaf pan that fits inside the air fryer basket using a little butter or cooking spray.
- Pour the banana bread batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Place the loaf pan in the air fryer basket and cook for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove the banana bread from the air fryer and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, transfer the banana bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy it warm with a pat of butter or a drizzle of honey.
Tips
- For an extra crunch, sprinkle some granulated sugar on top of the batter before baking.
- If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake this in a conventional oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 60 minutes.
