Crispy Parmesan Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

Indulge in the delicious simplicity of these Crispy Parmesan Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts. Perfectly roasted, these Brussels sprouts are golden brown, delightfully crunchy, and dusted with a generous serving of Parmesan cheese. Not only are they a healthy side dish, but they're also a delightful snack that brings out the sweet, nutty flavor of Brussels sprouts. This recipe takes a traditional Belgian dish and adds a modern twist by using the air fryer, a technique that brings out an unbeatable crunch in the sprouts.

Serves 4

Ingredients

Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup, grated
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Brussels sprouts
1 pound, trimmed and halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the Brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the sprouts are well coated.
  3. Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  4. Air fry for about 12-15 minutes, giving the basket a good shake halfway through to promote even browning.
  5. Once the Brussels sprouts are crispy and golden brown, remove them from the air fryer.
  6. While still hot, sprinkle the Brussels sprouts with the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix gently to ensure all the Brussels sprouts get a good coating of cheese.
  7. Serve immediately as a side dish or a nutritious snack.

Tips

  • 💡 For a bit of a kick, add a dash of red pepper flakes before air frying.
  • 💡 You can also try different types of hard cheese like Pecorino Romano or Asiago.
