Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
- Green onions (2, chopped)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- Ginger powder (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Teriyaki sauce (1/2 cup)
- Pineapple slices (4 slices)
- Chicken breasts (4 pieces)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag, pour in the marinade, and ensure all the chicken pieces are coated evenly. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- After marinating, remove the chicken breasts and discard the leftover marinade. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
- Cook the chicken for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- During the last 5 minutes of cooking, place a pineapple slice on top of each chicken breast to warm and caramelize it.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes to let the juices redistribute.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy your taste of the tropics!
