Succulent chicken breasts marinated in a sweet and tangy sauce, topped with juicy pineapple slices and cooked to perfection in the air fryer for that irresistible golden finish. This dish is a quick, easy, and healthy option that's sure to impress.

Ingredients

Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
Green onions
2, chopped
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Ginger powder
1 teaspoon
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup
Pineapple slices
4 slices
Chicken breasts
4 pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag, pour in the marinade, and ensure all the chicken pieces are coated evenly. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. After marinating, remove the chicken breasts and discard the leftover marinade. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  5. Cook the chicken for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, place a pineapple slice on top of each chicken breast to warm and caramelize it.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes to let the juices redistribute.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy your taste of the tropics!

Tips

  • 💡 Marinate the chicken overnight for maximum flavor.
  • 💡 Serve with a side of steamed jasmine rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
  • 💡 If you prefer a spicier kick, add a dash of sriracha to the marinade.
