
Apple Fritters
Delicious and crispy apple fritters made with a simple batter and fresh apples, fried to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
- Eggs (2)
- Cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/4 teaspoon)
- Baking powder (1 1/2 teaspoons)
- Sugar (1/4 cup)
- All (purpose flour - 1 1/2 cups)
- Apples (2 medium, peeled and diced)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Dust the apple fritters with powdered sugar before serving.
