Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the finely chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the pork chops in a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, ensuring they are fully coated. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. For maximum flavor, letting them marinate overnight is recommended.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, let the coals burn until they are covered with white ash.
- Remove the pork chops from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the pork chops for approximately 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F when measured with a meat thermometer.
- Once done grilling, let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, ensuring a moist and flavorful bite.
- Serve the grilled pork chops alongside your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
