Sink your teeth into these succulent BBQ pork ribs, marinated in a homemade smoky BBQ sauce and slow-cooked to perfection. This American classic, with roots in the Southern United States, will transport your senses to a summer cookout, regardless of the season. They're juicy, tender, and brimming with flavors that are sure to satisfy your BBQ cravings.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Smoked paprika (1 tablespoon)
  • Black pepper (1 teaspoon)
  • Salt (1 teaspoon)
  • Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons)
  • Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
  • BBQ sauce (1 cup)
  • Pork ribs (2 racks)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika to make your homemade BBQ sauce.
  3. Rinse and pat dry the pork ribs. Apply the homemade BBQ sauce mixture all over the ribs, making sure to cover all areas. Reserve some sauce for basting during cooking.
  4. Place the ribs on the preheated grill, bone side down, and cook for about 2 hours. The ribs are done when the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
  5. Baste the ribs with the reserved BBQ sauce every 30 minutes during the cooking process. This will keep them moist and add more flavor.
  6. Once the ribs are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for at least 10 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in more flavorful and moist ribs.
