Ingredients

Original recipe serves 6

Paprika
1 tablespoon
Onion powder
1 tablespoon
Garlic powder
1 tablespoon
Black pepper
1 tablespoon
Salt
1 tablespoon
Barbecue sauce
2 cups, plus more for serving
Beef back ribs
4 pounds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. This will be your dry rub.
  3. Generously season the beef back ribs with the dry rub. Make sure all sides are coated.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down, and cook for 2-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone. Flip the ribs every 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  5. During the last hour of grilling, start basting the ribs with barbecue sauce every 15 minutes. This will create a sticky, caramelized exterior.
  6. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
  7. Serve the beef back ribs with additional barbecue sauce on the side for dipping or drizzling.

Tips

  • 💡 For a smokier flavor, consider adding a handful of soaked wood chips to your grill.
  • 💡 You can also bake these ribs in the oven at 275°F (135°C) for about 4 hours if a grill is not available.
