These succulent grilled beef skewers are bursting with flavor, featuring tender marinated sirloin, juicy cherry tomatoes, and vibrant bell peppers. Perfect for summer barbecues or a cozy dinner, each bite offers a delightful combination of sweet and savory notes, enhanced by a zesty honey soy marinade. Historically, skewering meats dates back to ancient civilizations, allowing for easy cooking over open flames, which makes this dish both a culinary tradition and a modern favorite.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

Wooden skewers
8-10, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Cherry tomatoes
1 cup
Red onion
1 medium, cut into wedges
Bell peppers
1 large, cut into bite-sized pieces (any color)
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Honey
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Beef sirloin
1.5 pounds, cut into 1-inch cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade and toss to coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Once the beef is marinated, thread the beef cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating with pieces of bell pepper, red onion, and cherry tomatoes for a colorful presentation.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness (aim for medium-rare to medium for optimal tenderness).
  6. After grilling, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 3-5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  7. Serve the beef skewers hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad or grilled vegetables.
