
Bell Pepper and Steak Stir Fry
This delicious stir fry combines tender steak with colorful bell peppers in a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
- Green onions (2, sliced (for garnish))
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Beef broth (1/2 cup)
- Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
- Ginger (1 teaspoon, grated)
- Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
- Soy sauce (3 tablespoons)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1 medium, thinly sliced)
- Bell peppers (2 large, thinly sliced)
- Flank steak (1 pound, thinly sliced)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the sliced steak and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the stir fry over steamed rice or noodles.
- Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
