Dive into a tantalizing blend of tender pork and vibrant bok choy in this quick and flavorful stir fry. This dish captures the essence of Asian cuisine, with a harmonious balance of savory sauces and aromatic spices. Perfect for a weeknight dinner, it’s a delightful way to incorporate fresh greens into your meal while enjoying the umami richness of oyster and soy sauces. Stir fry has deep roots in Chinese cooking, dating back centuries, and this recipe pays homage to that tradition with a modern twist.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

Pork tenderloin
1 pound, sliced thinly
Bok choy
4 cups, chopped
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Fresh ginger
1 tablespoon, minced
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
Oyster sauce
2 tablespoons
Cornstarch
1 tablespoon
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the sliced pork to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  5. Add the chopped bok choy to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the bok choy is wilted but still maintains a crisp texture.
  6. Return the cooked pork to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well to coat the pork and bok choy evenly.
  7. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and everything to heat through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting to your preference.
  9. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
