
Chinese BBQ Spare Rib Wraps
These Chinese BBQ spare rib wraps are a delicious and flavorful dish that combines tender spare ribs with fresh vegetables and a tangy sauce, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Ingredients
- Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Green onions (2, thinly sliced)
- Carrot (1, julienned)
- Cucumber (1, thinly sliced)
- Tortillas (4)
- Brown sugar (1 tablespoon)
- Rice vinegar (1 tablespoon)
- Hoisin sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Chinese five spice powder (1 tablespoon)
- Pork spare ribs (1.5 lbs)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Chinese five spice powder, garlic powder, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar to make the marinade.
- Place the spare ribs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake the spare ribs for 45 minutes, or until they are tender and cooked through.
- Remove the spare ribs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Once cooled, shred the meat using a fork.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- To assemble the wraps, spread a spoonful of the shredded spare ribs onto each tortilla. Top with cucumber slices, carrot, green onions, and cilantro.
- Drizzle some additional hoisin sauce over the fillings.
- Roll up the tortillas tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
