Ingredients
- Large mushrooms
- 12, stems removed
- Crab meat
- 1 cup, lump or backfin
- Cream cheese
- 8 ounces, softened
- Bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup
- Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup, grated
- Green onions
- 2, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them. Set aside the mushroom caps and stems.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Generously spoon the crab mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing down slightly to pack the filling.
- Sprinkle the finely chopped mushroom stems on top of the stuffed mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil for added moisture.
