Large mushrooms
12, stems removed
Crab meat
1 cup, lump or backfin
Cream cheese
8 ounces, softened
Bread crumbs
1/2 cup
Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup, grated
Green onions
2, finely chopped
Fresh parsley
2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Olive oil
1 tablespoon (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them. Set aside the mushroom caps and stems.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  4. Generously spoon the crab mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing down slightly to pack the filling.
  5. Sprinkle the finely chopped mushroom stems on top of the stuffed mushrooms for extra flavor.
  6. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil for added moisture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
