Servings: 6
Ingredients
- Fresh figs (12, ripe and halved)
- Orange marmalade (1/2 cup)
- Orange juice (2 tablespoons, freshly squeezed)
- Honey (2 tablespoons)
- Cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully cut a small cross at the top of each fig, about halfway down, to allow the glaze to seep in during baking.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the orange marmalade, freshly squeezed orange juice, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until well blended and smooth.
- Arrange the halved figs in a baking dish, cut side up. Generously spoon the orange marmalade glaze over each fig, ensuring some of the glaze seeps into the cuts.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the figs are tender and the glaze is bubbling and caramelized.
- Once done, remove the dish from the oven and allow the figs to cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the glazed figs warm, garnished with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and freshness.
- Enjoy your elegant dessert!
