Servings: 6

Ingredients

Fresh figs
12, ripe and halved
Orange marmalade
1/2 cup
Orange juice
2 tablespoons, freshly squeezed
Honey
2 tablespoons
Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Fresh mint leaves
for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully cut a small cross at the top of each fig, about halfway down, to allow the glaze to seep in during baking.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the orange marmalade, freshly squeezed orange juice, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until well blended and smooth.
  4. Arrange the halved figs in a baking dish, cut side up. Generously spoon the orange marmalade glaze over each fig, ensuring some of the glaze seeps into the cuts.
  5. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the figs are tender and the glaze is bubbling and caramelized.
  6. Once done, remove the dish from the oven and allow the figs to cool for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the glazed figs warm, garnished with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and freshness.
  8. Enjoy your elegant dessert!
