Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the gochujang sauce, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade. Set aside.
- Place the sliced chicken in a medium bowl and pour the marinade over it. Toss to ensure all pieces are well-coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour in any remaining marinade. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes, ensuring the chicken and vegetables are well-coated in the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
- Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
- Serve the gochujang chicken stir-fry over a bed of warm cooked rice. Enjoy your meal!
Tips
- Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference or seasonal availability. Snap peas, zucchini, or mushrooms work wonderfully in this stir-fry.
- For an extra kick, consider adding a splash of rice vinegar or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes.
- If you prefer a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
