Ingredients

  • Water (3 cups (for brewing coffee))
  • Ground coffee (1 cup)
  • Hibiscus tea bags (2)
  • Hot water (2 cups (for hibiscus tea))
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Milk (1/2 cup (adjust to taste))
  • Honey (2 tablespoons (or to taste))
  • Fresh mint leaves (a handful (for garnish))
  • Lemon slices (2-4 slices (for garnish))

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of ground coffee and brew using your preferred method (French press, drip, or pour-over). Once brewed, set aside to cool completely.
  2. In a separate container, steep 2 hibiscus tea bags in 2 cups of hot water for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and allow the hibiscus tea to cool to room temperature.
  3. Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes, about halfway.
  4. Pour the cooled brewed coffee over the ice in each glass, filling them halfway.
  5. Top off each glass with the cooled hibiscus tea, filling to the rim.
  6. Stir in 1/2 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of honey according to your taste preference. Adjust the sweetness with more honey if desired.
  7. Garnish each glass with a lemon slice on the rim and a few fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch.
