Ingredients

Sesame oil
2 tablespoons
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Ginger
1 inch piece, minced
Green onions
6, sliced
Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
3 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Fish sauce
2 tablespoons
Water
8 cups
Fish fillets
2 cups, cut into bite-sized pieces
Shrimp
1 cup, peeled and deveined
Clams
1 cup, cleaned
Mussels
1 cup, cleaned
Squid
1 cup, cleaned and sliced
Tofu
1 block, cut into cubes
Salt
to taste
Red pepper flakes
to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic, minced ginger, and half of the sliced green onions. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the gochujang, soy sauce, and fish sauce, making sure to combine well.
  4. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Add the fish fillets, shrimp, clams, mussels, and squid to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
  7. Add the cubed tofu and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Season the stew with salt and red pepper flakes according to your preference.
  9. Serve the stew piping hot, garnished with the remaining green onions. Enjoy this delightful taste of Korean cuisine!
