Servings: 4

Ingredients

Ground chicken
1 pound
Mushrooms
1 cup, finely chopped
Onion
1/2 cup, finely chopped
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Breadcrumbs
1/2 cup
Egg
1, beaten
Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Burger buns
4, split
Lettuce
4 leaves
Tomato
1, sliced
Mayonnaise
1/4 cup
Ketchup
1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped mushrooms, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
  4. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden.
  5. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a crisp lettuce leaf and a slice of fresh tomato.
  6. Place a cooked mushroom and chicken patty on top of the tomato, then drizzle ketchup over the top half of the bun.
  7. Assemble the burger by placing the top bun over the patty and serve hot alongside your favorite sides.
